The Connect system offers ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality with user-enabled customisation options so you can easily tailor the system to suit your business. Customers are able to customise all of the following:

Drivers are supplied with an ID card which is swiped against the Bridge unit to log-in to the system. Alternatively, drivers can log-in using an email address and password. The system allows you to add and manage all your drivers, photo IDs and respective contact details.

Add and manage your own vehicles and place into vehicle groups of your choosing (e.g. by business division, geographical region or depot).

All checks are captured in the web portal and can be retrieved and reported upon as and when required. Add your own fleet-wide vehicle checks or simply utilise or add to the DVSA vehicle checks (supplied by default). Users can also set up their own check categories and display specific instructions on how drivers should perform each check correctly.

Photographic evidence can be used to surrounding a road traffic accident, clarify the vehicle defect and affected part, or can be used in support of your on-site business operations. The TomTom Bridge units come equipped with a in-built camera and gallery application enabling images and video footage to be captured, stored and automatically geo and date/time stamped.

Using the website, your office team can assign urgent new jobs to a driver or cancel existing jobs. These schedule changes are transmitted in real-time to the driver’s Bridge unit. The system will continue to guide your drivers throughout their working day. The driver confirms each sequential job as ‘in progress’, hits ‘show route’, then the system automatically routes the job via TomTom Navigation. Job checklists or special delivery/collection instructions are also transmitted to your drivers.

Add any type of job to fit the different activities of your mobile workforce (e.g. pick-ups, collections, sales visits, surveys, technical inspections or vehicle services).

Your drivers will have up to the minute navigation with real-time traffic data that allows drivers to work around reported delays, road closures and obstructions to save precious time when it counts.

A Two-way text based communication system between your drivers and office staff. For driver safety, messages can be read aloud and an ‘acknowledge’ button confirms to the message sender that the message has been read. All messages and acknowledgements are date/time stamped and an historic message trail is retained for later review.
